Should I get an HRV or an ERV?

我在加拿大安大略省渥太华有一个40年的家，那里冬天需要湿度，夏天太潮湿。我需要HRV或ERV装置吗…given the fact that I may not have an airtight home?

Ottawa is a humid climate, and can even be so in winter, so you may be best with an HRV, but read over that page to be sure. For summers you could probably use some duhumifification, do you run a dehumidifer in your basement, or do you have AC?
