Seems the only technology now available is a roof fan and an open window for ventilating my tiny home, which isn't a good solution in hot or cold climates. Ideally the HRV or ERC system I'm looking for would be powered by 12 or 24Vdc. Thanks
Ventilation in tiny houses seems to be often overlooked for some reason, though it’s not too surprising to find them absent in a camper van. How big is your van, and does it have a kitchen and bathroom? In our opinion, they really should incorporate some sort of mechanical ventilation to provide fresh air for occupants if it’s being lived in.
There a variety of brands that make a ductless ERV that may be well suited for providing ventilation to a tiny house or mobile camper van, which can be found ina choice of ductless HRV and ERV units ideal for Tiny Houses and Homes like converted vanshere.
I actually found one that works off 12Vdc!
It's called the BAL 25110 Air-Port Fresh Air Exchanger. Doesn't have great reviews but I'm going to give it a try. Thanks for getting back to me.
Glad to year you found a suitable candidate Ron, let us know if it turns out to be a winner.
This is also a wall-mountedcompact ductless ERV system, here. It's great to see this style of ERV ventilation system as it's a quicker and more economical way of ventilatingTiny Homes, and so many we see for salehave nothing! They're also great for problem rooms like bedroomsa way to reduce condensation on windowsor in humid spaces liketo prevent mold in basements
